When considering child care options, everyone is familiar with the well publicised usual options of child care centres and nannies available.  However there is another lesser known option, a very select, elite, unique and individualised option.

Family Daycare.
Family Daycare Carers provide a wonderful alternative solution to providing safe secure childcare for your child.  We solve the problem many parents face.

"Who will care for my children While I work or am unable to?

It has to be someone special, someone who really cares".

We think these statements apply to all Australian parents.  We all want the best for our children.  If you believe they apply to you, then choose a Family Daycare Carer as your childcare option.

  • "My children are precious to me; I won’t just leave them with anyone".

  • "It has to be someone who really cares about them, not someone just doing their job".

  • "Childhood is such a special time, the person who cares for my children has to want to make it a magical experience".

Do you know that on a daily basis over 12,000 individual Family Daycare Carers provide stimulating activities in a home-based environment.  Providing childcare for over 100,000 children around Australia.

What is Family Daycare?
Family Daycare is child care provided in the Family Daycare Carer’s home.   Family Daycare Carers are registered or licensed and provide childcare for children aged from birth to 12 years. Each child is accepted for who they are, without exception.

Family Daycare Carers encompass, embrace and celebrate the diversity of language, culture and ability of each child as an the wonderful individual that they are.

Family Daycare Carers believe in helping each child reach his or her potential in life. Confidence, self esteem and self belief are wonderful assets that each carers strives to encourage in each child that is in our care.

Carer to Child Ratio?
One of the most important differences between care by a Family Daycare Carer and care in a child care centre is the very low child to carer ratios.  This allows the Family Daycare Carer and the children to develop very strong bonds.

In Family Daycare the carer to child ratio is much smaller than in centre-based care.  The number of children in care at any one time is strictly limited and adhered to, it is as follows:

  • Up to four or five children under school age – (number of children is dependent upon each state or territory’s legislation).
  • Up to seven children aged under 12, in total, (including their own children under 12).
