Family Daycare
Carers offer a very flexible option for childcare.
Many Family Daycare Carers choose to be
licensed 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week. In addition to providing
full time, part time, casual care, before and afterschool care, many offer overnight and
weekend care facilities dependent upon the requirements of the
parents.
Family Daycare
Carers are normally available on weekdays, but Family Daycare Carers also
support parents with unusual circumstances, for example shift-workers or
parents with jobs which require travel. Family Daycare Carers can also
assist families with weekend and overnight care in case of an
emergency or as a respite care option. |
Occasionally a parent
has to work late or may get caught in traffic on the way home; resulting
in their child is the last one in daycare.
A small child must feel very lonely in a big centre, being the first
child to arrive in the morning or the last child to leave at night. Imagine
how sad they would feel being
left to play alone when everyone else has gone home, and it’s going
dark outside. A scarey thought isn't it.
Many Family Daycare Carers
have their own children, the possibility of your child being the
`first child there in the morning or playing alone as the last one to be collected
at night’ is not such an
issue.

In Family Daycare your child is in a warm, welcoming happy home, it makes such a
difference. The childcare centre is the carers home, so he or
she won't be stood there with their coat on waiting for you to
arrive.
